The Raspberry Cordial Catholic Literary Gathering November 9, 2019 Waco, Texas

We’re thrilled to be able to host our first real-life event, the Raspberry Cordial Catholic Literary Gathering! A conference dedicated this year to our podcast patron, Anne Shirley of the one and only Anne of Green Gables series by Lucy Maud Montgomery.

On Friday night, November 8th, we’ll start things off with a bang at Fabled Bookshop‘s “Spare Oom” at 7pm. This is the most charming bookshop on the planet. They even have a wardrobe with fur coats to enter the children’s section! We will get to know each other, browse the beautiful books, and drink Raspberry Cordial.

On Saturday at Reicher High School’s Performing Arts Center we will have a day of talks by Haley Stewart, Meg Hunter-Kilmer, and Christy Isinger exploring Anne and the Catholic faith. We will also have plenty of time interspersed throughout for introducing ourselves to each other and drinking a lot of good coffee and tea!

The Saturday gathering will begin at 9:00 am and will break for lunch with plenty of time to explore Waco and visit Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Silos. Our afternoon sessions will also be scheduled to leave time to attend a nearby Vigil Mass for all those traveling on Sunday.

We will have a wonderful tex-mex dinner together followed by a fun evening of socializing and a live taping of the podcast!
