We’ve never done a bonus episode. But we couldn’t imagine just moving forward with our regular programming before connecting with you over the pandemic we’re facing.
This episode is basically a brain dump of what we’re thinking and feeling, what’s working for us, and perspectives we think will be helpful. We’re scared and anxious like you. We’re having good days and bad days. We’re grieving life as we knew it. But…here we are. So let’s lean in and reach for things that will inspire us and keep us sane in the coming weeks like rituals and routines, streaming Mass, and more life lines. And let’s give ourselves the grace to have a good cry or too much screentime because there are no rules for getting through a pandemic! (Except social distancing, washing hands, and all that good stuff.)
We’re praying for all of you. Please keep us in your prayers.
Things we mentioned in this episode:
–Daily Mass streaming from Bishop Barron’s chapel
-Haley’s books The Literary Medicine Cabinet (use code COMFORT2020) and The Grace of Enough (discount already set up on Amazon) are on super sale for your quarantine reading pleasure

Lent Book Club
And another great reason to become a patron of the podcast is access to our Lent book club. We’re reading Holy Women.
In this beautiful book Pope Benedict explores the lives and importance of 17 women saints of the Church, in short, readable, and compelling essays. We’ll read and discuss two to three women each week and learn more about saints we love, and come to know incredible women we’ve never heard of before. Patrons also get a 25% discount on the book.
As patrons of the podcast you’ll receive weekly reflections and thoughtful study questions and we’ll discuss them together in the Slack! (About 150 patrons participated in our Advent book club so we’re excited to coordinate another one for Lent.) Become a patron today!

Thank you Haley and Christy. Your podcast is such a comfort to me. So true about leaning in to our loved ones and the small moments during this time. To break my obsession of being tuned into the news right now, I’m going to catch up on your podcast and revise some of my favorite earlier episodes. So thank you for the beautiful ministry you offer all of us listeners.
